Classic Rock Weekend Trip

Posted by Artster63

'Tis the season to S-T-R-E-S-S O-U-T man. Here we are the last weekend to buy your Holiday gifts. Any other procrastinators out there... like yours truly? I've taken advantage of online shopping this year, unlike my traditional December 24th shopping blitz. However, any savings I had were soon dissolved by paying extra for "express delivery". Yeah, the "Brunette" wasn't too pleased with that.

Here are a few last minute gift ideas for the classic rocker in your life. Have a good one.

Be sure to stop by Bernie Walter's Classic Rock Shots site. Some pretty awesome images of the best classic rockers of the past. Real photos to be framed or poster style options. Here's a little on Bernie.

In 1964 The Beatles, The Stones, The Who and so on, the British invasion, the time was right and teenager Bernie Walters was just reaching puberty when he heard his first Beatles song. Then came his first live concert, The Rolling Stones, that was all it took to change his life forever.
Working for and with such artists as Leon Russell, Kansas, Joe Cocker and others gave Walters an inside view of bands and their lives.
Walters' collection covers 3 decades and is now ready for the public to see. From the first Rolling Stones tour, the Stones on Ed Sullivan, Cream and The Who's first American tours, as well as, from Woodstock to Live Aid, Walters was there with his camera. Classic Rock Shots is a true snapshot of the Pop Culture. A definite must see!!!

Another cool site is Bill Wainright's "Wear Your Beer". Along with some classic beer t-shirts like: Hamm's and Schlitz, Wear Your Beer offers some awesome classic rock tees as well.

Rockers like, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles are just a few who's images adorn t-shirts, caps, glasses, mugs and checkerboards. Yeah, that's right, I said checkerboards. There's actually a pretty neat KISS game board at the website. So if you haven't quite found the right gift for that party animal in your life, check out Wear Your Beer for plenty of great ideas.

Here's a great last minute offer from my bud Jonathan at City Listen.
